As always we are grateful that we didn’t see any rain before finishing. Our family also thanks our vineyard and cellar crews for all of their hard work as they navigated our 51st harvest!
Cheers,
Warren, Jody, and Ryan Bogle
Dry, windy conditions this fall have again created a scary situation for folks in Northern California. Sadly, our neighbors in Sonoma County are facing another challenge, most notably with the Kincaid Fire. To date, the fire has burned more than 77,000 acres and 400 structures, including wineries. Luckily, containment is growing and the fire is expected to be extinguished in the next few days (as of 11/1/19).
While we here in Clarksburg have also dealt with high winds and power outages, we are grateful that we are out of reach of such terrible devastation. Our hearts go out to our grower partners in Sonoma who have endured losses, as well as to so many others who were in the fire’s path.
If you would like to donate to the relief efforts, we encourage you to do so. The Salvation Army has several sites that allow you to donate directly to the Kincaid Fire Relief Fund. You can find one here.
Another way you can contribute: purchase a bottle of Sonoma wine. Toast the first responders, the support staff and Sonoma County as it rebuilds from this latest catastrophe.
It’s been a long wait, but we are so excited to share that our Blanc De Blancs will be relaunched into the tasting room on Friday, November 15th. There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season!
This gem of a sparkler is made in the traditional French methode champenoise: aged on the lees and disgorged with a classic cork and cage to capture all those pretty little bubbles. Crisp and flirty, this wine is made from Chardonnay grapes from our River Ranch. Green apples and pears are balanced by softer crème brulee notes, and finished with a flourish of happy effervescence!
While the wine is only available at our tasting room in Clarksburg, we can ship direct to you, if legal. Quantities are limited, and we hope to have enough to last through the spring. Email us at tina@boglewinery.com to inquire or place an order.
