It’s been an unusually unsettling weather year so far here in Northern California. After high winds and torrential rains in early January, things settled down enough for us to get out into the vineyards for pruning. But March has come in like our Juggernaut lion…an unstoppable force of high winds, more precipitation, and bone-chillingly cold temperatures. We even had some slushy snowflakes hit our vines in Clarksburg! And there’s more to come…
As always, farmers remain at the mercy of Mother Nature. But until budbreak later this spring, we are happy to sit back and wait for the growing season to begin!
Cheers,
Warren, Jody, and Ryan Bogle
